Skylanders isn’t the only franchise Activision has where they use critters to drain wallets of parents and kids alike. The company also has an active Moshi Monsters franchise. A new game called Moshi Monsters: Moshlings Theme Park will release this fall.
The sequel to the previous Moshi Monsters game will be available on Nintendo DS and 3DS on October 30, 2012. Players will be able to rebuild the park where these creatures reside, while they unlock new content in the game and on the social network affiliated with it. Nintendo DS owners can unlock exclusive content on moshimonsters.com by attaining high scores, while 3DS players can interact with each other through the StreetPass system. Over 60 monsters will entertain young and old in this adventure. Consumers will also receive a free week pass on the site.
Moshi Monsters offers a social network for children 6 to 12 to tend to pet monsters in a range of different events. The site currently has over 65 million users. It is possible to preorder Moshi Monsters: Moshlings Theme Park from the site, which goes through several retail sites, such as Amazon or Toys R Us.
