People can’t wait to get a hold of the latest yearly Assassin’s Creed release. Perhaps this is because Assassin’s Creed III is finally branching off and will feature a new era and protagonist. The stealth action will now take place during the American Revolution and promises to make accurate use of the historical event by adding real characters from that era.
This has gone over well with fans of the franchise and Assassin’s Creed III has already broken several records and is on its way to crack even more, according to Ubisoft. For instance, it has already had more preorders during its availability than previous iteration Revelations had in the same period of time. Furthermore, it cleared past the amount of preorders that Brotherhood had in total! That’s quite the achievement. Ubisoft predicts that if this trend continues, Assassin’s Creed III will overtake Revelations as the most preordered game in the franchise by this year’s E3.
Assassin’s Creed III will release on October 31, 2012 for Playstation 3, Xbox 360, PC and Wii U. That’s right, the Wii U is coming. We’d almost forgotten. A rumor has indicated that a Japanese store leaked the US release date for the Wii U as November 18, 2012.
As much as I can’t stop anticipating the release of this game, I’m still kind of dissapointed at the fact that Ubisoft decided to expand the series to Nintendo systems.
Don’t hold me true to this, but, as far as I’m aware, AC has never hit a Nintendo system before, so, why change that now?
I think it’s a major step backwards, in an order for more sales.
But what does it hurt that it’s on a Nintendo system? It’s not like it makes a difference if you’re playing it on a different console.
Ah, I can’t wait for ACIII. I’ve already pre-ordered!
Seeing as it’s coming to the Wii U, it’s not really a step backwards. From what we know about the Wii U, it’s version may only be different because of the teblet screen, but in every other way just be an xbox port. Regardless, it doesn’t affect you if it comes out an the system you don’t play. And seriously, if a company ever does something that’s going to get them more money, don’t act all shocked. The GOAL of a company is to make money, bruv.
