As soon as Black Ops 2 was announced, we immediately got an influx of questions asking if the game would include zombies. Of course, the answer to that was yes, but it hasn’t stopped there..
Treyarch studio boss Mark Lamia recently told Playstation Magazine that Black Ops 2 Zombies would be a full featured game mode, and not just a mini-game like it was before.
So what does that mean? For starters, it means multiple game modes. Some rumors have been swirling that Blops 2 would have a Zombie story mode. That rumor looks like it may very well be true, and it sounds like that might not even be the end of it. Lamia hinted at competitive Zombie game modes as well, which would be a new step beyond the game mode that included only co-op.
Speaking of co-op, the number of players that can participate has now been doubled from 4 to 8. With 8-player co-op comes the need for more zombies, so the number of zombies on each map are doubling as well. Of course, that means we need bigger maps, so we’re getting those as well.
Clearly, Treyarch has been listening to their fanbase. People love zombies and Treyarch is planning on giving them zombies in droves when Black Ops 2 drops this fall. Are you more excited for the regular multiplayer modes or the zombie modes? Let us know in the comments.

Zombies were not really my thing, it got repeatitive real fast, and it was also a major pain if you didn’t have anyone to play with, and if you played with random people you might get noobs or people who just leave the game or go afk. So I hope they make it easier for 1 person to handle.

Zombies is the only reason i bought Black Ops 1. Keep in mind i would definitely like to see a Boss round after the first 10 to 20 rounds. And im not talking hellhounds or some crazy scientist that steals your weapons. I want to fight some hulk like zombies, or some agile parkour zombies would be cool too. Or a mixture of both. How about some zombies with flame throwers and flame retardent suits?

This game looks great, definitly gonna buy it for the zombies. It would be pretty cool if they made a mode where its like MW3′s infection. Except with the infected being an actual zombie not just a knife user.

They should give you perks in Zombies such as sentry guns like they do in survival mode in MW3!
I think perks in zombie would be stupid nowing that you are meant to ba abbandoned like in survival how they parachute toroups but they can’t pull you up !!!

I can’t wait for zombies and multiplayer, but I mean what about the story mode? Is it going to be the same or are there new characters or what? I think in the story mode there should be more missions that take a lot longer and are harder. Can you give us more information about it?

Even though Richtofen switched places with Sam at the end… O.O I’m also very excited for it being a full game type! Not just a mini. The story is much too great for it to be kept so secretive again. It’s too hard for some people to do all the Easter eggs and figure out the story. They need to glorify it! Embrace it! Story mode, cut scenes!
they already said the flamethrower will not be returning to blops2…i cant wait to play it and i hope they DO ake it a little easier for begginer single players…i loved zombies in blops1 but never played by myself cuz it was to much for me(cuz im new to it)..ZOMBIES!!

a full customization game would be a great asset to zombies (random box weapons, money and damage modifier, etc…)

Hopefully they’ll release the old maps for free if you bought them on Blops this time, instead of cash-whoring for people to re-buy old maps.
I understand that attaching bad ass zombies to your fist person shooter equals a huge boost in sales and sale demographics but why not fully develope a seperate game devoted to the zombie genre allowing more time and hard work to improve he zombie side that everyone loves as well as the story/multiplayer side that actually is COD. Make both equally that much more impressive, not cutting some areas short to make others better. Stop being stingy damn it! Oh, and when the hell is a first person shooter going to make multiplayer more realistic by actually showing damage to body parts, if my person gets shot in the trigger hand/arm I shouldn’t be able to shoot my weapon, but may be able to wield a hand gun or knife in my other hand still, if my leg gets shot, guess what no more running or sprinting for me, Shit maybe my person is required to crawl around on the ground or limp around. Time to step up the developing, bring it!
Oh damn, completely forgot. Is it just me or would it not be bad ass to be able to tackle a player to the ground, pull out your hand gun or knife and have them meet their maker point blank?

Maybe you should become a programmer and do that for them. Many people do not realize how hard it is to make up the code for that kind of stuff.

Zombie’s are the only things that made black ops good. It would be great if they added new perks.

man we need new perks like that would let you jump higher for those pesky crawlers or ummmm…. a perk that makes your bullets explosive for bosses (if they mange to get in black ops 2) or get a better chance of getting good guns and good ideas of bosses are like a explosive boss (not like the cosmonauts from moon) like it can actualy hurt you but of course i still want that dancing thing he does i always laugh or a zombie that has a lot of life but not like a george boss from call of the dead and new zombies like a big and strong zombie that would start to come after round five and i really want to be able to play in maps with a bit more light for zombie crawlers that always get lost in the maps
another thing with the call of duty games i hate to be playing and see my charachter holding there gun with there right hand and doing everything with theire right hand. just because the majority of people are right handed doesnt mean they have to make every body in games right handed there are left handed people out there like me they should put an option that lets you swithch your player to right handed or left handed
Really bro? You might as well ask for a full customizable character. But since previous Black Ops zombies modes have been specific characters, maybe they’re all just right handed. If your asking for the CoD multiplayer, you think they would spend the extra money just to give you the option to be left handed? They’d get so much hate from not making a fully customizable character.
its not just the call of duty games that do that its every game you play theres never any left handed people. but with the multyplayer on call of duty why not make some people left handed im not asking for a customizable charachter but since after you die when you respond you come back as a completly diffrent charachter why not make some of them left handed and switch it up like some times youll respond as a right handed person or other times youll respond as a left handed person
What they should do with zombies is do to it what they did with multiplayer.Customization. They could keep a story mode which i personally love the story behind the zombies but make a customizing coop zombie mode where you can make your own bad ass zombie hunter.How cool would that be. The maps and guns are nice addition but let us chose our own characters and make a staion in a map where you can choose some attachments to the gun your holding or fortify a positions with barricades instead of having windows where zombies spawn make zombies walk/run to the map and attack from all angles besides attacking and having to move through windows.Cause we all know we all camp the windows in the begin rounds
They should let us upgrade a gun twice after you get to level 30 or somethin like that

If you play single player on zombies, you should be able to set the difficulty. And be able to rank up and get emblems and stuff.

I understand what everybody is saying about having zombie mode own story line, and making it jam packed with a whole bunch of stuff in it and making it super impressive. Somebody else had said, about the body parts flying off and injured arms. That would completely throw off the game don’t you think. All I have to do is shoot your shoulders and just kill you with a shotgun. But I understand your POV. If they do make a ZOMBIE story mode. They can just throw that on a separate disk. One for Campaign/Multiplayer with the regular 2-4 Zombie Mode and on the other disc you have the Zombie Story Mode with the 4-8 players and just rape all those creatures. Well that’s my opinion. I’m getting BO2 not just for zombies but also for multiplayer and I have been with the codd franchise for at least about 9 years so idc if it’s good or bad. I play to kick some @$$ lols.

i think there should be more perks , more guns and you should be able to double pack a punch a weapon . also there should be a mode where people play zombies and can make a class . They should also raise the limit to how many perks you can have at a time . there should be at least 30 maps for zombies after you buy all the DLC
They need to bring back ALL zombie weapons since the original map. Talking flamethrower, wafflemaker, Ma deuce aka 50 cal an the Mg-42. Yeah buddy.

I love both modes. I obviously love CoD but the Zombies mode is a nice break from it when you get worn out with listening to little kids cry(not that i get worn out easily, it feeds me). BUT it was extremely hard to find a game with at least one other decent player in it when friends aren’t online, so hopefully finding games like that will be easier. One feature that I love that WM3 put in was being able to hear the other person nerd rage after you merc em. So, I’ll prob buy BO2 but unless it lets me feed on the tears of the weak and untrained players, I’ll prob just play it for Zombies.

There should be a way to level up seperately from multi-player.
i dont want everyone to know the storyline. i liked being the only one who knew about it and teeling everyine. and a8 people, u prob wont even be able to go to the box with 8 people
Im so glad they are listening to us. Who better to listen to then those of us who play zombies daily. Im loving the 8 players I personally have 8 friends that i play zombies with and it sucks when we have to split up and play seperate games. i just hope they give us the option to upgrade more than once as well as customize our weapons when we upgrade and let us buy more than 4 perks at a time. Hopefully they have the hacker available and PHD on every map so we dont blow ourselves up if theres a ray gun.

and it might be true that someone could use our own technology against us someday and the only true soldiars are the living ones and the ones that fought for us but like i said so high-tech graphics are not so good in this one from what it looks like but you know the zombie mode will be at its best most fans are glad to have zombies back and so am I not to mention its a 4 vs. 4 vs. zombies im not sure how they will get it to work but im sure it will be fantastic and if you dont like a 4 vs 4 vs zombies you can paly together against the zombies and not to mention seeing how 4 people in black ops borught in a lot of zombies wait till 8 plyers are brought in i mean most people will think their kills will be stolen but probably not i mean 4 players you got some of your kills stolen at the beginning but not towards round 10 and 20 think of having 8 players at the beginnign you probably would never have your kills stolen and by round 10 and 20 you will bite of more than you can chew and campaigne im sure it will be better than the rest also their adding a zombie campainge! Its good enough normal caimpagne but now zombie campainge! i mean this will be their best seller from what i’ve seen most people want the game for the zombies and i do to and i cant wait for it to come out but thats not it i know the multiplayer in Mw3 wasnt so good because they added to much to it and you always getting killed but im sure this game will be much better than the last so try multiplayer and do the campaigne because you want to know your maps before you do the zombies or multiplayer I haven’t played the game yet and i will when it comes out but I would recommend this to anyone who loves great first person shooter games I’m just some random person but I hope you read this whole thing and dont care about whos better Bf3 or cod because they are both good games and i hope when the game comes out you can get it and play it also enjoy it and thats all i have to say
Black Ops was a very creative game in multiplayer and zombies which, we as the gamers, love to have. Modern Warfare series is always the same with multiplayer and graphics. I like how Treyarch is listening to us and we are getting what we want. 8 players, different game modes of zombies, new weapons, huge maps, etc…what’s not to love?
The only reason I will purchase BopsII is for the Zombies. With 8 player online capability, the room for growth and expansion is endless. I would like to see a quick multiplayer mode of 7 on 1; where the 7 can be the zombies and the 1 player only has a 1911 or knife. As the rounds progess, your zombie gets stronger and faster

i think there should be both zombie and regular multiplayer because you will never know if they like regular or zombies for me i wold say both.
I like the idea of a zombie story mode, I LOVE the idea of 8 players and bigger maps, but I would also like to see some boss fights. Maybe even Pack a Punch more than once? Or a ‘Refill Ammo Dispenser’ for the randomized guns you can’t buy ammo for off the walls. Are we going to be seeing New Perks? Is there going be new drops also? Insta-Kill, Death Machine, Double Points, and Fire Sale are all great but I’m sure everyone’s wanting to see what’s new. Also, how would Competitive Mode work out? 8 Player zombies. Co-op. Competitive Game Modes. 4v4 With 4 players trying to defend against the driving horde while 4 players are the leaders of that horde? Sounds like a likely game mode. Especially with them releasing such information that it’s not just going to be Co-Op. Well enough said on my part I’ll stay updated, maybe even update or stir the minds of others. LOVE LOVE LOVE zombies!!(can’t say it enough)… but if i need all eight people to complete an easter egg, i’m going to be PISSED! i hate trying to find a good match to complete an easter egg only to get set up with some little kids or some asshole just trying to get everybody killed…. please make the easter eggs a little easier to complete, or at least make it soo i don’t have to rely on other people to finish them. thanks.

you should still beable to do it on solo and with 2 players etc and if you get a gun in the box and pack a punch it you should beable to go to the pack a punch machine to buy ammo so you don’t have to swap it if you run out of ammo

I honestly in my opinion like mw3 better than black ops but am so syked(is that how u spell it? Lol) but I honestly bought black ops 1 just for zombies after playin it at my friends house. I was pretty good at ascension and stuff but I quit recently and am shit now so I wanna start something new now.
There needs to be perks, and maybe some killstreaks in zombies, and bring back the intervention <—- is that spelled right…. from mw2, and also have the same graphics of mw3 because honestly in my opinion the graphics and the quality of black ops sucked! There should also be aliens… hehe… Also add some futurific weapons, and also make killing people in the final kill cam really cool… like the guy above saing u should be able to take someone and kill then with ur pistol in the face, and lastly i believe there should be more maps, like 20 of them so u dont play on the same maps, 12 times in a row like in the first black ops, and lastly lastly there should be a campaign where you fight zombies, then u should be able to be a zombie and play the game over again from their point of view.

There needs to be new weapons, perks, and tactical, and lethal, stuff, cod is getting kind of boring just using the p90, and all the other old guns… I mean come on, put in a fuckin Plasma Blaster, and fucking teleports,and awesome shit like that… Put in drivable vehicles like in BF3 witch u can just jump in and demolish stuff. make it more realistic like bf3 (like jumping over things) but the same gamestyle of MW3…

ContraCommando is a fat mexican who lives in his grandmas basement and the closest he’ll ever get to a vagina is the one he was born from. Just ignore the guy, I am excited for Black Ops. I am pretty sure I saw his name and picture on Barbie Island Princess website when my little sister was browsing it. Calling people a new gamer or casual gamer is by no means an insult. Playing Hello Kitty and Barbie games is for kids, so I got news for you: Just because you kick so much ass in those gams, it doesnt make you a hardcore gamer. It makes you a loser.
I hope there is a story behind zombies, and more easter eggs. I also think that since theres more players & bigger maps they should have one half of the spawn on the other side of the map.
Im really looking forward to campaign mostly, then the zombies. WaW zombies is original and cant be compared to the zombies of today..in my opinion

There has been a rumor that it will be 4v4 and another gamemode where 8 players play on same team against zombies…..comment if you’ve heard this too…so EXCITED
I heard rumors that there will be a zombie mode team death match… it will be like normal tdm but with random zombies everywhere!!!
i know that there’s a huge commotion about zombies but i have herd absolutely nothing about the regular multiplier. i mean is there going to be new game moods or new kill streaks and stuff like that. believe me i like zombies as much as the person who likes it the most but i’d still like a good multiplier.
3 things 8 players GREAT, but for every 8 theres a noob, and wonder what other colors there having for the zombie players

hopefully black ops 2 is harder than the other COD games. Hopefully they can make a comeback and make this game hard and fun to play. The older ones had more of a challenge than the newer ones its sad. ive played nitendo 64 games that are harder than the COD games…
