Treyarch has just released the minimum specs that will be required to play Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 on your PC. They told us every little detail about running the newest addition to the Call of Duty franchise on your PC and this time around, it look like Windows XP is out.
Treyarch promised that they did many test runs of the game on different hardware and that they are confident in the ability to play the game at the minimum specs. The minimum specs are listed below.
Unfortunately, all of you that are still running Windows XP will have to make an upgrade if you’re planning on playing Black Ops 2 on the PC. My advice is to upgrade now so you will be ready to play on the release date (November 13th).
Although the same engine from the first Black Ops is being used, they made numerous improvements to make the Call of Duty PC experience much more enjoyable. Treyarch stated that they greatly improved graphics, introduced a proprietary anti-cheat technology and changed many other things to enhance the overall performance of the game. Also, the engine was moved from DX9 to DX11. One of the biggest things is that the DX11 requires much less CPU time to do the exact same amount of work as before. All of the improvements that they are making will lead to a much better online gaming experience.
Make sure the game will be compatible with your computer and be ready to pick up your copy of Black Ops 2 on November 13th.
Sadly, I will not be able to play this. I can play the first Black Ops but it’s really buggy, yet I can play MW3 with no issues.
Anyone, please say can I run this game with Nvidia GeForce GT 330?
Also is Intel Core i5 750 enough good processor?
Please!
Im not to sure about the graphics card, but the CPU will be fine. The processor they have listed is about as crappy as you get, and an Intel i5 is a fairly good one, so youll be fine.
Will Balck Ops 2 finally be able to take control of quad core capabilities???
To bloddyblod…your processor will be fine…however I would recommend buying a new graphics card. Im not saying you need to go crazy and buy a gtx 690, but buying a gt 520 would work well for the price
My RAM is barely high enough. Any tips for upping RAM so I can do other things while playing?
@SkiDaBird, just go to http://www.crucial.com and scan your computer. it will tell you if your motherboard can support more RAM and let you purchase it.
@Chance, Probably not. Granted the physics are better, it will be more GPU intensive
@bloddyblod, It will, not well though. google can you run it, go to the first link, and try to see if you computer can run the first black ops. It will give you a better idea.
If you have anymore questions, give me your email and I will try and be more of help.
