A large part of all Call of Duty games is the release of downloadable content (DLC). Thus far, downloadable content packs have included multiplayer maps, in addition to either special ops missions or zombie maps (depending on the Call of Duty). Although these DLCs are already very popular, I believe that there is something that can be done to make people look forward to getting them even more.
One of the changes that I, and lots of others, have been waiting for is the addition of weapon packs. Many people throughout the Call of Duty community would love to see their favorite weapons return from previous Call of Duty games. Numerous friends that I talked to said they really want the M16 back from COD 4 or the UMP45 back from MW2. Although both of these guns are included in MW3, they aren’t the same as they used to be. I know that they have been rebalancing weapons (including the M16 and UMP) but what most people want is the same feel of the gun from previous Call of Duties. So if they had a slightly different weapon “pack” or update, then they could change these guns back to how they were when they loved by most. In addition to this, they should bring back fan favorite guns that weren’t initially included in the game.
For me personally, I would love to see previous guns make a return (such as if they brought the RPD, MW2 Famas, or Galil to MW3). If they came out with just a few weapon packs in a year’s time then I would be extremely happy. Adding these familiar guns from previous Call of Duties would force people to continuously rethink their strategies and add an interesting dynamic to each and every game.
Also, I think it would be smart of them to have weapon packs that included guns we haven’t seen before. Doing this would greatly increase the replay value of Call of Duty since the new guns would add different tactics. I don’t know if it’s just me, but in previous Call of Duties, it eventually got to the point to where I really didn’t want to play anymore. Not because the game was bad, but because the same guns and perks just grew old. The key with everything is to keep the game fresh in different ways so that all of us players won’t grow tired of it. I am sure most of us want to deeply enjoy playing Call of Duty for the whole year until the new one is released, and adding these things might just cause that to happen.
I can’t help but ask the question that if the rumors are true and they do in fact include weapon packs, then will they include other types of DLCs? Perk packs? Equipment packs? The possibilities are very exciting. Do you think that they should include these types of DLCs or just stick to what they have been doing?
well if u think about its good but maybe if it was free, cse u have to understand that some people might not buy it cse itsnot free, maybe if it was free then it would be a good idea
Exactly. If they did include this then it would either be free, or they would have to have a playlist for that particular DLC pack (similar to how they do it for map packs).
Not true. they could have it how Battlefield has it now where people could still pick up the weapons and use them but they wouldn’t unlock anything such as attachments, camos, etc.
so basically bring back all the cheap guns everyone hated?–the ones noobs use cause they have no skill? No thanks
I don’t think weapon, perk, or equipment DLCs will make the game very fair for those who don’t have elite. Imagine walking around having less things just because you didn’t pay for an Elite subscription. So if those DLCs be released, they should be for the public, or only for use on Elite-Only playlists.
Well that’s what they were saying would happen if they did release these types of DLC. Otherwise, like you said, it would be very unfair to people that don’t buy it. Unless of course it was free, which it should be. If you did have to buy it, then they would have specific playlists for that pack.
where i can get all of the COD game collection..its hard for me to get it
Umm, how about no. I don’t feel like paying more money to make an incomplete game complete after I already spent 60$ on it in the first place.
