Carmageddon

Hold on to your helmets, folks. Digital distributor of olden goods GOG.com has unleashed Carmageddon Max Pack onto this world. This carnal gore fest with cars is now available for $9.99.

The racer game is one of the bloodiest titles of yore that sparked quite some controversy with its focus on scoring points to kill pedestrians and wreak havoc. The package deal will combine the original Carmageddon along with the expansion Splat Pack. There are 23 killing machines to choose from and over 30 levels with an open atmosphere to give players the freedom to destroy as they desire. A neat little bonus that comes with the GOG purchase is a design to make 13 papercraft cars. What a totally random yet original incentive. This classic game released in anticipation of the rebitrth of the genre with Carmageddon: Reincarnation, which is currently in development by the creators, Stainless Games.

Speaking of anticipation, the website has launched a sale on Square Enix games for people awaiting end of the year blockbusters such as Tomb Raider, Hitman or possibly even Thief. You can get 60% off on many of these titles, as well as Legacy of Kain, Anachronox or even Deus Ex. This promotion will last until Monday.
