E3 is a fun time for gamers, and Infinity Ward wants to celebrate the event with you.  That’s why, after teasing us about it for a while, they’ve gone live with the first MW3 double weapon XP event.

As of right now (actually, as of yesterday) you’ll earn double weapon XP when playing MW3 on the 360 or PS3.  You don’t have to do anything special to enable it, just log on and play.  The event will stack with prestige tokens which means that you can get quadruple XP for a few hours if you have one of those to spend.

PC players can’t partake in the double weapon XP event, but are instead getting a regular double XP event.

Both the 360/PS3 double weapon XP and the PC double XP events will last through Monday, June 11th.  Enjoy!
