Nintendo downloads are returning to their former format this week, with just one release for each platform. This week’s Nintendo eShop update will give you a choice of puzzles, more puzzles or fighting.
Nintendo 3DS owners can get their hands on the renewed classic Picross e. This variation to crossword puzzles lets players complete images by using a series of numbers as clues. It’s easier to pick up than it sounds and features some addictive gameplay. The newest version is said to use a navigation system that facilitates the solving of puzzles even more. You can pick it up in the eShop for €5.
This week’s DSiWare, also available for 3DS owners, is Crazy Hunter. The press blurb starts with the line: “Ever heard of the chicken with the golden eggs?” If you did, then your parents were cheapskates that taught you the generic brand alternative derived from the original, featuring a goose with said eggs. In any case, Crazy Hunter puts you in the role of a crocodile that stacks goats to the sky to reach chickens seated on clouds. The reptile can use speedboats, cranes and fishing hooks to complete this task. At least they got the “crazy” part correct. You can get this title for €5 as well.
Lastly, the Wii channel will add the classic Real Bout Fatal Fury Special. This is the sixth iteration of the Fatal Fury series and is available for 900 Wii Points.
