Sword of islam

The critically acclaimed strategy title Crusader Kings II from Paradox Interactive launched its first expansion today. The Sword of Islam downloadable content comes alongside a major update for the game, as promised earlier.

As the name suggests, the DLC will allow players to view the Muslim side of medieval conquest. New empires can be selected, which will have their own respective gameplay elements. This gets paired with an “Islam-inspired” interface. Aside from over 100 new events, players will also be able to enjoy or fear the effect of polygamy, because more women mean more problems or was that money? We forget. In any case, the DLC costs $9.99/€9.99 and is available now through Steam and digital networks.

To celebrate the occasion and give a taste to skeptics, Paradox will host a live presentation of Sword of Islam today on TwitchTV. Crusader Kings II project lead Henrik Fåhreus will commandeer this effort and walk viewers through the DLC. A Q&A will also be available through chat. You’ll be able to catch the show at 9 am PDT / 6 pm CEST right here.
