Blocky tower defense game Cubemen has launched its first major update and done so in style. The strategy title available through numerous digital platforms adds a bunch of content in Version 1.1 for free.

First off, a new game mode is introduced called Mayhem that allows 2 and up to 6 players to play cooperatively, which can also be filled up by AI. This mode will also receive a lobby that players can use to wait for the start of the game.

Additionally, cubemen (not to be abbreviated as C-men) can be customized with a set of costumers, among which ninjas and skeletons. More so, the game received a total of 14 additional maps; 5 for Mayhem, 3 Skirmish stages and 5 Defense levels. A new unit is introduced with the Sniper for extra long range and all of this will come with the addition of 12 new colors as well.

Network capabilities also see a transformation. Players can now set the amount of waves and AI difficulty. Games aren’t dropped when someone pulls a rage quit. Instead, AI will now take over the squeamish when they pull out. Lastly, tweaks of all kind have been applied; everyone wins.

To top off this news, the game is currently on sale and costs a measly €2 for that ton of content. We suggest you check it out.
