deponiaLace Mamba Global has released a demo for their point and click adventure Deponia, a game in vein of classics like Discworld. This announcement consists of the English version, for the upcoming localization, after the game already hit German audiences earlier this year.

The introduction will feature somewhat less than an hour of gameplay from the game’s beginning. The story revolves around anti-hero Rufus that lives on a garbage planet, dreaming of better days on the planet’s upper cities. When another character named Goal falls from these exalted plains, Rufus sees an opportunity to make his dream a reality and offers to escort the fallen angel back home, for his own selfish needs.

This PC exclusive will come to retail stores around UK and Ireland on June 29, 2012. The game will include a poster as well as the original soundtrack. The demo is available from multiple portals online.
