It’s long been rumored, argued about, and even denied, but it looks like we now know that Diablo 3 will in fact be coming to the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.  The news was confirmed via Blizzard’s Community Manager on twitter, when he was asked if Diablo 3 was coming to consoles and in response tweeted:

So there you have it, a (likely stripped down) console version of Diablo is coming to consoles and is already underway.

If you’re a PC Elitist then fret not, as the console version will not be holding up production of the PC version of the game.  The PC version is expected to release well before the console versions and will likely be technically superior to the console versions.  Still, it is great for console only gamers to have the option to play what will likely be a great game, and it will be interesting to see how the game interacts with XBL and PSN.
