Bethesda’s stealth action game Dishonored is only a few weeks away from either delivering on its hype or brutally disappointing. All we know is that spirits are high right now and the latest release of the game’s backstory won’t change that for the worst.

This graphic art presentation is called The Awakening and talks about a man called Roseburrow. This person was wandering the darkness within the world of Dunwall, before discovering something revolutionary that would make him a mogul and usher in his environment into a new era. However, this won’t do much to remove the darkened silhouette style from the illustrated tale. Roseburrow unwillingly made the world spin out of control through his benevolence and determination. What can be called progress can come at a high cost.

The people in charge for this lore certainly have an eye for atmosphere. Dishonored is one of our most anticipated titles this year. Let’s hope they can ride that hype train all the way home.
