DMC KATThe controversial reboot of Devil May Cry dubbed simply as DmC has received a release date. Capcom announced that the hack and slash extravaganza featuring a new spin on Dante will be arrive on January 15, 2013 in North America and Europe for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. The publisher added that a PC version is “well underway” and will join the release sometime later in 2013. This shoots the title slightly outside of the holiday rush, which could be a smart move.

DmC is being localized and will feature full voice acting capabilities in French, German, Spanish and Italian, aside from the English version. Text support will also come in Polish, Dutch, Russian, and “Brazilian Portuguese.”

DmC is being made by Ninja Theory who has a few large but not all too successful releases to its name with last year’s Enslaved: Odyssey to the West and Heavenly Sword. They’ll now be charged with taking a popular franchise and revitalizing it. That’s not an easy task, but so far footage has been looking good for the developer.
