Despite RPG season being cramped enough as it is, we’re still getting plenty of new projects in our mail. Latest in the bunch is Legends of Dawn from Dreamatrix.
The game due for PC in Q3 2012 will feature a bright open world filled with dozens of different environments that are free for the player to explore. It is said not to restrict the player in choosing where to go.
More so, players will need to resort to tactical combat in order to survive and mold classes together to best suit their needs. Additionally, enemies will adapt and change tactics and fight differently in alternating weather conditions and day cycles.
On another note, Legends of Dawn prides itself on not having loading screens. Instead it streams content in the background to let everything develop in real time. An extensive trailer has been released to show some of the goods.
It certainly looks like a fantasy title. Legends of Dawn apparently will have lots and lots of buttons, such as a hotbar below and then more buttons to the side that we think will serve as buffs. A strange other feature shown is some sort of runestone combinations that yield equipment. That could be fun. We’re not sure if the demo presented was well planned though. During the entire presentation, the character defeats foes and gains 0 experience. More than likely, you’ll gain more experience in the full game.
In the meantime, Dreamatrix released a confusing free card game branded with the same name. You can play that here.
