Get 5 Indies For 10 On GOG.com

GOG.com 5 for 10

We’ve got more deals incoming, now that Black Friday is arriving fast. Well, it’s as fast as ever, time is usually constant, but that’s not the point. The point is that digital distribution platform GOG.com has a sale that allows people to pick 5 indie games for $10, no matter what the title.

The promotion consists of 20 titles, many who have seen their way into an indie bundle at some point. Excellent point and click adventures like Gemini Rue, Resonance and more mark the rather impressive presence of Wadjet Eye Games’ line-up.  There’s also Trine and Torchlight, but we think these titles might get a huge discount in the upcoming Steam sale. So, if you’d like some suggestions on what titles to grab, we’ll put our 5 picks below:

  • Alan Wake’s American Nightmare
  • Symphony
  • Mutant Mudds
  • Unmechanical
  • Botanicula
  • Wild Card: Geneforge 1-5

The spin off to the original Alan Wake should be a no brainer for fans. This high-value production is a steal at 2 bucks a pop and its action orientation should make for a suspenseful adventure for all. Symphony is our top pick and should go in anyone’s choices. This rhythm game in the style of Beat Hazard takes your music collection and transforms it in an ever-changing shooter game with RPG elements that is good for countless hours of replay value.

Then, there are the recent or somewhat new releases of Mutant Mudds and Unmechanical, with the former being discussed by us a few times before. The last pick is a bit tougher, but we think Botanicula is one of the more endearing adventures in the pack. However, for those that would really want to get their money’s worth, we’ve picked out the Geneforge Saga that offers hundreds of hours of traditional top-down roleplaying.
