Are you ready for a gameplay trailer so campy, it’s even proud to mention it will “melt your face?” Double Dragon: Neon, which remodels the classic for modern times, will feature a multitude of questionable taste in that faux-eighties style that’s hip with the kids right now.

Even if it jumbles up some lingo that may or may not actually be from the nineties, there are still a lot of buzz phrases thrown around as neon colors flash around the screen. The sidescrolling beat ‘em up will also reveal some of its classy foes. There’s the sadistic seductress Linda with a corset that can barely contain her huge chest or the giant Abobo, which has his own game now. Apparently, they also lifted their main villain Skullmageddon straight out of He-man, as the thing sounds exactly like Skeletor. The dynamic duo celebrate their 25^th birthday with a rad air guitar solo that also looks like something else for a split second. There’s even some gameplay in there of a bunch of people fighting.

This remake is out now for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. It’s a creation from WayForward Studios, who are also currently doing different things with Silent Hill. The PS Vita iteration of the series called Book of Memories will be a top-down action RPG. There’s a demo for that out right now.
