If you don’t remember just what exactly Hard Reset is, we haven’t been doing our job right. This indie first person shooter take on Blade Runner came out of nowhere last year and went on to surprise many pundits. The Flying Hog people are continuing to show this gleaming title some love with added content.
For one, they’ve released a digital artbook for no additional charge. Usually, these incentives come with preorders or collector’s editions only, but the developers are handing them out freely. That’s definitely a classy move. You’ll find it here or you can use this torrent to download the 137MB .pdf file.
The artbook holds numerous panoramic drawings and concept art, as well as posts with side to side comparisons of drawings and their eventual appearance in the game.
The generosity doesn’t stop there. In a blaze of old fashioned glory, the developers also recently released some downloadable content for the game itself. And just like the days of yore when your consoles weren’t glorified computers and PC was an elite master race, this DLC called Exile is free for Hard Reset owners. It also comes standard in the Hard Reset: Extended Edition. Exile adds 5 new levels, 4 enemy types as well as a boss fight. It also comes with 2 new survival maps.
Completing a trifecta of good guy mentality, the PC game has also been reduced to mere pennies on Steam and can be purchased for a mere $3.75. Speaking of Steam sales: Today’s deals are quite amazing. We personally suggest grabbing Prince of Persia for a few pennies and jumping on the newly released Quantum Conundrum, which already gets a 40% discount. Though, frankly, there isn’t one bad deal today. Prepare your wallets!
