Sega and Arkedo Studio released a new trailer for their upcoming digital release Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit. The clip features some gameplay laced with some plot device elements.

It all starts in a mansion where our dead rabbit protagonist is taking a quiet relaxing bath to some lounge tunes. A sneering blog post apparently is enough to drive the skeleton critter to madness and from there on it’s nothing but pure and utter carnage.

Gameplay seems to be drenched in extreme amounts of blood and heavily saturated visuals. It also shows of the jet-powered drill that will serve as a means of transportation and bloodshed. Additionally, the trailer shows a few weapons to blast off heads as well.

The game has a distinct feel of classic 2D sidescrolling run and gun games, but with a modern twist. The end of the clip even shows a few traditional platforming elements. Our rabbit friend also seems to sport some different outfits, which reminds us of a SNES game called Plok. It’s unlikely that anyone remembers this 1993 game though.

Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit will release in 2012 for digital networks on Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
