Last week, Nintendo revealed their plans for the 3DS in the following months. They’re getting ready to throw a ton of old and new titles towards consumers.
Perhaps the most important announcement is the release date for Paper Mario: Sticker Star. This crafty adventure with stickers will float into stores on December 7, 2012. Puzzle fans won’t need to wait that long, as the next Professor Layton game is set for October 26. Fans of another popular title, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, can get ready to cheer too. The release window for this RPG has been narrowed down to March 2013. Between 2 and 4 hunters can play together and fight impressive beasts in an expansive ecosystem. More so, it will be possible to combine the Wii U with up to 3 players and game data can be transferred between the handheld and de console. That way, it’s possible to play the game wherever you are.
Those that would like to get in on a new 3DS XL system can grab one in a new color even before the holidays. A version with a pre-installed copy of Mario Kart 7 will also be available, starting November 16, 2012. Collectors will want to get their hands on a Pikachu Nintendo 3DS XL, as long as the limited supplies last.
The eShop will receive a bunch of older titles in downloadable form too. Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D and Star fox 64 3D have already been added. Liberation Maiden from Suda51 is on there too. We’re still waiting on those eShop Cards, Nintendo!
More games headed to 3DS this year, as either retail or digital download, are: Hydroventure: Spin Cycle, Aero Porter, Crimson Shroud, Virtue’s Last Reward, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked and Nano Assault EX.
