Steam Halloween sale

Everyone’s biggest love/hate relationships when it comes to PC deals has joined the sale party, we’ll be discussing today. Valve launched their Halloween Sale for Steam and offers over 50 titles at discounts between 10% and 75%.

In order to give you some insight on the current choices, we’ve come up with a list of games you should likely pick up or at least keep in mind. Don’t worry; we’ll keep your respective wallets in mind by focusing mostly on deep discounts. We’ll list them below:

  • F.E.A.R. Series
  • Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit | €6.49
  • Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines | €4.99
  • Bloody Good Time | €1.69
  • Atom Zombie Smasher | €2.49
  • Dead Space | €2.49
  • Cthulhu Saves the World & Breath of Death VII Double Pack | €0.66
  • The Walking Dead (season) | €14.99

Not convinced by price alone? Then allow us to give you a short incentive explanation. The F.E.A.R. series have some solid shooting, with smart enemies and sections that are scary to the point of wetting yourself, though it degrades as numbers go up. Now, Hell Yeah! may be a bit above the other prices, but there’s a reason for that: This gory arcade title from SEGA is not even one month old and already has a 50% discount. The Vampire RPGs are a unique experience with a compelling atmosphere that still resonate to this day. Bloody Good Time is exactly that for an affordable multiplayer shooter with bunny girls and killer clowns. Atom Zombie Smasher may not look like it, but it gets intense, with fast-paced action that lets the imagination run wild. Those that haven’t gotten into Dead Space yet, for some reason, can do so now and experience its jarring creepiness. We’ll always note that you can buy Cthulhu Saves the World for less than a buck, because that’s just plain cheap. Lastly, The Walking Dead might have a slightly higher price, but getting it with a 40% discount now, ensures you’ll play one of the most captivating titles in the history of game writing, as our reviews have shown by now.

Also, has someone else noticed that some zombie games work with the exact same model? By our count, Trapped Dead, Zombie Shooter, Nation Red and Dead Horde all work with nearly identical isometric shooter schemes. It’s the same system Dead Nation uses on Playstation 3, in case you’re wondering. It’s perhaps best if we stop linking games to each other.

You can find the Steam Halloween Sale here.

Update: Luck would have it that Section 8: Prejudice is Steam’s daily deal for just €3.24, so get that too, because it’s a pretty neat title for that kind of money.
