We enjoy roguelikes, because what could be better than a randomly generated game that’s different each time? Probability 0 is one of these dungeon crawlers that do it a little bit different. This title switches dungeons with an ever-descending platform game.
This simple 2D silhouette feature has players fall down into a dungeon with no bottom, as they try to dodge enemies, collect items or pulverize things in their way. While it could be possible just to try to dodge and descend, defeating enemies unlocks skills and other things that might facilitate reaching a further depth. Scores are measured by how far down players can go without dying.
Probability 0 is available for $5 for a limited time only or as a bundle with developer Droqen’s other titles. This package with 4 games costs $10 and also includes Starseed Pilgrim, Pirattitude and Fishbane. You can purchase it here.
Those in need of a quick fix can download the newly released game Torak for free. This adventure game created with the Unity engine takes gamers to another planet where feline aliens get into a rough spot with some parasites. After an abduction, the player goes on a quest through plains, mountains and fiery caves to rescue their kin. In Torak, you’ll be able to control an army of minions, raise your abilities and so forth. It looks quite dated, but as a free download it’s definitely worth a try. A full third person adventure with a high nostalgic vibe might be right up your alley. You can download Torak here.
