Creativity is getting harder to find and companies have started rebooting franchises left and right. If that’s the case, then why can’t indie developers do the same? These cats have taken that idea to heart.
Packers Remakes has launched an alpha for none other than Conker’s Bad Fur Day. Mind you, this comprises of a multiplayer component only, not the singleplayer of the foul-mouthed Rare squirrel. It seems the developer isn’t going to pursue the title for a while, but people interested can still download it here.
The game is a modern adaptation of sorts to the classic of yore and features rodents wearing army helmets and brandishing bazookas. Surprisingly, the game has been in development in 2006 and moving along slowly. Someone should offer some help.
Going even further back in time, Chain Studios has made a modern adaptation of Wolfenstein 3D called Wolfram. Gone are the pixels of old. Instead, this game is developed in full 3D and recreated as genuinely as possible. Given the original’s sensitive material, the developers were kind enough to release separate versions, according to your personal taste. The European version doesn’t depict the Nazi paraphernalia of the game, but those that want the genuine experience can download the US version, complete with swastikas and such. Bless their politically correct hearts. Download the game here.
