Indie royaleThere are always indie games to be found on sale. After Build a Bundle’s return, it is now the turn of Indie Royale to release its July Jubilee Bundle. This pack sneaks in 10 titles in total.

Even though there are only 6 games announced, one of them has a little surprise inside. The Geneforge Saga offers no less than 5 games in one. This classic top down RPG is, much like Avernum before it, just a throwback to the earlier eras where gameplay and tons of content triumphed over all. The Walking Dead’s Telltale Games also offer one of their titles with Puzzle Agent, one of the company’s prime puzzle games. Join agent Tethers from the FBI’s Puzzle division to research a strange eraser factory up in the boondocks in Minnesota. Mutant Storm Reloaded is a bullet hell shooter with lots of flash and lots of flair. It allows you to swoop by in 2.5D, as the camera rotates around this twin stick shooter. These 3 titles offer Steam keys for those interested.

The other titles are available through the indie alternative platform Desura. These games include Swift Stitch, a very simplistic line game that’s all about taking the correct path and steering skillfully. Perhaps the most interesting title of all in the bundle is Oniken. This is a straight up homage to the NES era and features an 8-bit classic adventure that’s remade almost exactly like in the old days. Jump on platforms, swing your sword, visit strange locales and evade death at every corner; Oniken is the genuine thing, complete with that era’s difficulty rating.

Lastly, the game Unepic offers a tale of grand scale, without the obligatory fringes. Still, it’s quite similar to the previously mentioned titles with tons of adventure to climb through.

The current average to beat to obtain these titles hangs around €4,45, at the time of writing. This also includes a few bonuses, such as the Oniken soundtrack and the game Rose and Time. To those that pay more than $8 (€6,63) will also receive chiptune beats from Prof. Sakamoto’s Insert album.
