Capcom announced it will release JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure HD Ver., which apparently gets written with “Ver.” As the actual full title. The game apparently follows a popular manga series we’re not aware of. Still, that means some good news for fans.
As the name suggests, JoJo will return in glorious high definition, after departing from public view since its Dreamcast launch 8 years ago. In order to satiate fans of the original and arcade versions, there will still be an Arcade SD mode available that retains the original pixel art quality.
The new game comes with online functionality for multiplayer that follows the same schemes known from Capcom’s previous ventures, Street Fighter IV and Marvel Vs Capcom 3. Gamers will be able to choose opponents on a variety of options and will be able to gain battle points for themselves and their characters, which will further differentiate them from the pack. A spectator mode is also present, together with an 8 player feature in which the winner stays on, while the loser’s warm the bench. Lastly, a video option will allow players to save their best footage.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure HD Ver. Is available on August 22, 2012 on Xbox Live and Playstation Network for 1600 Microsoft Points or €19.99/£15.99 respectively.
