Publisher Kalypso Media released 2 new trailers for some of its games. First, we’ll step back to the roaring twenties with Omerta – City of Gangsters and then we’ll return to modern military times in Jagged Alliance: Crossfire.
Some gameplay snippets are thrown around in Omerta’s clip. Here, players put themselves in the designer shoes of an early 20th century mobster. Set in prohibition times, the strategy game will see the player climb ranks from an immigrant fresh off the boat to a powerful boss with an empire at their hand.
The game bears a visual similarity with Tropico, probably due to the developer being the same. Aside from building and managing mobsters, players can take on missions that feature turn-based shootouts in an isometric view. There will also be drive by shootings or bombings, along with every crime in the book. The PC title releases this fall.
Jagged Alliance: Crossfire is an expansion for the renewed original Jagged Alliance: Back In Action. The gameplay snippets in the video show us what we can expect when the strategic combat game launches on September 25, 2012. After freeing Aruclo, the mercenaries are called to action in Khanpaa. You’ll get the chance to try out 10 new mercs, 10 new maps, new weapons and much more, totaling over 15 hours of content in a standalone campaign. Inner features have been enhanced as well. A graphical polish will make sure the isometric tactical combat is better looking than ever before, while the artificial intelligence will gets tweaked.
