From Software’s console hit Dark Souls might be coming to PC fairly soon. The action roleplaying game, which was a massive critical hit on the Xbox 360 and PS3, has been endlessly requested by PC gamers. Given its immense difficulty level and huge immersive world, it seems like a great fit for the PC as a platform.
Now, Namco Bandai has hinted at the game getting a PC release. Through a full-page advertisement in Australian PC gaming magazine, PC Powerplay, the publisher used the now infamous ‘You Died’ message to alert in-the-know gamers to a possible PC release. As of now, it’s the only information we have – From Software hasn’t yet commented on a possible PC release of the game.
Either way, we certainly hope it’s a reality. Dark Souls was one of the best adventure RPGs of the last few years, bridging the gap between ultra-immersive games like Skyrim and the adventurous aspect of Zelda-style action RPGs. A PC release would be a huge event for the adventure gaming community, especially given the game’s focus on hardcore-style gaming action.
