There is no shortage whatsoever in free-to-play MMO’s these days. Even beyond the slew of already interchangeable hackfests available for free, several large titles like Lord of the Rings Online are even free now. So, any new contenders better find a niche if they choose to participate. Upcoming localization effort Dark Blood might be the niche for you.

Don’t pay attention to the game’s story of something ominous; demons and dragons and all that. Instead, look at the trouncing action we’ve located in the trailer below. The game is bursting at the seams with movement and for some reason has a large arcade feel to it. It’s like an acid-induced version of Golden Axe. It even has arcade button prompts for unclear yet awesome reasons.

Philip Yun, CEO of publisher Outspark mentioned: “No question it’s a very sexy game with an adrenaline-rush of blood and violence.” We were unable to actually figure out what the thought behind that was, but we’re still excited for the game.

The PC title bound for North America and Europe is said to feature ‘mature content’ and will be releasing their demons this summer.
