Metal Gear Rising Gets New Trailer, May Still Head To PC
Konami released a new video for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. The game in hands of Platinum Games details a little more story, along with some new gameplay elements.
We start with the premise and listen to Raiden narrating some of the current dilemmas in the game. There seems to be a fading line on what is right and what is wrong. The first few minutes of the clip are footage already shown in other trailers, but we do get to see a bazooka weapon as well. Raiden can also use his swords to cut through other objects in order to kill the enemy behind them.
At some point, the ninja cyborg will be fighting a large gorilla-like enemy. Hell, there’s even a certain part with a chopper that feels quite surreal. A large emphasis is put on the phrase “Make it right,” which again is directed to the conflict of good versus evil. Finally, a strange robotic dog is introduced with a chainsaw for a tail.
In related news, Platinum Games revealed in an interview with Eurogamer that they might reconsider a PC release, after the console mark has been set. Even though the title originally was announced for PC, that version disappeared after Platinum Games took over development. Creative producer Yuji Korekado mentioned: “For the PC version, we will contemplate making it or not once we reach this goal of completing the PS3 and 360 versions,”
