It was bound to happen eventually. Despite Infinity Ward doing everything they could to keep hackers out of Modern Warfare 3 (even going so far as to fly out some of the hackers themselves to consult on how to stop them), the game has now been hacked.
You can see the results of some of these hacks in the videos below. The videos include users on the Xbox 360 using hacks such as walking AC-130′s, infinite ammo, superspeed, and general all-around God-mode for the glitcher.
Hopefully Infinity Ward will get this cleaned up quickly, starting with bans for the offending players assholes. IW has already outlined their strict banning policy so at least we know that these select few will end up in ban-land in no time.
It’s really unfortunate that this would happen on the same night that the MW3 servers went down. No word yet on whether or not the two are related.
If IW can’t get this fixed in a timely fashion, how likely are you to move on to another game?
Yeah, I kinda figure that it wasn’t me (ahem) that sucked. lol! No, seriously. I’ve seen guys run like they were at least twice as fast as anyone else. I would have the “drop” on them but they would evade come back and kill me faster than you could imagine. I usually just quit those games and join another one.

Welcome to the world of on line Multiplayer gaming. I have an Xbox and a Wii. the Xbox get updates regular, the Wii has had 1 update in 4 months. Not even enough effort put forward to try to keep the Hacking down. If the Wii could get an update every couple months would make a world of difference update the Wii system. Just be thankful you do get updates on a regular basis. not just 1 or to a yr.

Well put Russ! I see a lot of people grumbling about how the game sucks and how fun it is to hack. It hard for people that actually play and are good to play these cheaters. Theres no chance to beat these cheaters. I love MW3 and to be honest it’s the only game I own on my PS3. It would be nice to ban these guys so I don’t have to go looking for a new game!!!

How long will it take to move on you ask? I already have for the time being. I must say that not only am I pissed myself, but all my friends that play with me are as well. This type of bogus gameplay has been allowed for too long. There needs to be software that detects moded controllers and the like. It really destroys game play for the millions of people who don’t use it. Once this issue is fixed everyone whom has an elite membership should be given an additional 2 years for free since we have to make up our stats from the hacks that thousands of “assholes” use. Banning their gamer tag? yeah, that is a fix until they hack the system and get another free gamer tag. Fight fire with fire and hack their systems and crash them so they either have to buy a new xbox or buy a PS3 or something. I think this is the best resolution because at this point I want to find them “stick a trash can lid down their dick hole, moonwalk across it, and then butt f*** their souls” ATF (Action figure therapy) look it up on youtube. It is great=p
Rapidfire controllers are hardly the issue here. We’re talking about people that can just press a few buttons and instantly become 20th prestige, with all the perks and benefits that entails. Personally, I can fire a semi-auto gun (without a RoF cap) just as fast as a rapidfire controller. Taking away my ability to fire a gun quickly just to avoid people who have to use a crutch to do it isn’t fair. What they should do is track people’s leaderboard stats, since most people who were modded in mw2 had impossible stats. If someone’s stats change to something radical overnight, instant ban. Maybe we can use MW3′s theater mode to redocrd the hacker, then report them directly to IW with the video attached. That seems to be the easiest way to thin out these hackers.

How likely am I to go to another game? Well I’ve already left. I used to enjoy mw3 at the start but then it just got ridiculous. The game always picking new host every 5 mins, always ending the game, not allowing friends to connect in parties, headset problems and now this. Well I’ve been playing me3 multiplayer and I’m satisfied. It’s smooth gameplay and its still very challenging. Sorry mw3, I’m gone for now.

Every game has hackers. It’s pointless to get mad about it, and it’s not infinity wards fault. You can get mad about it and cuss and Never play the game again (which I doubt most of you who claim you will do this actually will), but it’s pointless. The fun part of the game is knowing when you have worked hard to achieve something– hackers will never have this feeling because they cheat to get they want. Just sit back and enjoy the fun of playing some good old mw3. After all it’s better a game than anyone on here could actually make

I already have switched to BF3. After playing COD EXCLUSIVELY for years I got frustrated with constant glitching and “HOST MIGRATIONS” and then this kind of stuff, that was the proverbial straw that broke the camel’s back. I’ve tried to contact these guys on Twitter and other channels (@fourzerotwo) to no avail. I bought both games at launch and hadn’t played BF3 since MW3 was released. But after this kind of stuff, I never thought I’d say it but, I’ve kind of lost interest and have moved on.

I didn’t record it sadly, I wish I did. There was a guy who would call in Care Package, Attack Chopper, and Pavelow about 10 times per match. At first I thought he was just a boss, and was just wrecking me. But he did it every single game. I mean, I by no means am terrible at the game, my K/D sucks from friends playing on my account when they’re at my house, but it’s still not fun to play against this. I am Tenth Prestige naturally. I’ve had the game since it was released, and am an Elite Member. It’s just not fun anymore.
Solution is simple. Dedicated independently owned servers with dedicated admins. let the hackers hack on there servers and let the players play on a well maintained server. Who cares about your rank anyway. There will always be someone better than you so having hackers on the leader boards is not a big deal.

It’s easier to alter/mod/hack P2P connections than dedicated servers. If COD run dedicated servers it’ll be harder to cheat. That said Activision will not spend any money to run dedicated servers and will be happy to give ya P2P connections only. BF3 FTW!!! COD converts flocking to BF3 as we speak, Christmas noobs all over again!!!

i play ps3, and i encounter hacking quite often now that i think of it. nothing THIS bad, but hacking none the less. just yesterday, the match started, and not even 10 seconds went by, and i shot a guy, who had a BALLISTIC VEST!! right as the game fucking started!! i wondered how he did it, and i chalked it up to it being my lack of knowledge… but i have prestiged 4 or 5 times now, and i would surely know if it were possible to do that. it was a HCKC game. im going to start reporting these motherfuckers too!

Sensitivity 10 doesn’t make you run faster, moron, it makes you turn faster. I should know, I use it.
Also, shooting the Desert Eagle like it’s an assault rifle is easy… Tap shoot… Really fast. I do it with the MK14 all the time.

This has been going on for a long time… since Modern Warfare 1. It has gotten worse— to the point that if you even want to try and play competitively, you have to cheat as well by making your own lag device, friending cheaters who will share their secrets, or by searching for videos on how to cheat. It gets worse with every new call of duty release which just tells me that no issues ever get addressed…. escpecially the lag switch cheating. It is far too easy to make a lag switch for a few bucks, hit a few buttons to get to be the host of a match, then lag away. It destroys everything fun about the game. I have already sold my game system because of this. Call of Duty was the only reason I even owned a console and since nothing gets fixed, what’s the point? I used to play to relieve frustration… until it had gotten so bad that I was more frustrated by playing. With the billions that are made from this franchise, you would think that they would take care of these easy fixes… instead they are catering to those who spend their money on elite by rewarding only those people with early maps. By the time those maps come to the other people that waited for hours in line the night it was released and spent $65 on the game, all of the glitches have been discovered and the game is ruined for those who didn’t put extra money into the soon to be dying franchise. I’m not sure I will ever by another console or another game to play this franchise again, but if I do, it will not be until these problems are addressed seriously in a zero tolerance manner… not a report player option that does nothing. I have already spoken with Activision directly and they danced around every question I asked, never giving me a real answer. For the money they make from us, we deserve more.
Well it’s a good thing halo 4 is around the corner.. it’s funny Halo games hardly have hacking problems that I know of, but could be wrong. So forget cod.

Mw2 was the best of all the series except Mw1.
In Mw3, they made it too complicated. Mw2 had everything, a very good campaign, which I enjoyed playing time after time and it had a great Multiplayer. When Mw2 got hacked, everything got ruined. Man the maps in Mw2 was the best.The mistake Infinity Ward made was its commitment to the current game. When CoD4 came out, Infinity Ward made sure that any personal problems with fans were dealed with as soon as possible. But down the long road, they only cared about the money.
The only great thing I LOVED about Mw3 was the campaign, it was beast.
This happens way to much and im sure im not the only one sick of it. i have debated just selling all the MW games i have and just moving on because this is getting ridiculous. probably wont be buying the next installment because im sure its going to happen once again

Dam shame these people that are doing this. I play on PC and its also infested with aimbots, wallhacks, multi-hacks and now even hacked lobby games. I’ve reported so many using the steam report function but I personally don’t think it does a dam thing. They really need to put teams together to play and police each platform.
My least favorite hackers are the ones with lag boxes, you know, when you have perfect connection but you still lag anyway. When you know someone was hacking all you do is report them. Screw IW. Let the big dogs (Microsoft Game development and management system protectors) handle the problem. Usually they “handle” the the hackers within 24 hours. And not just the MW series has hackers. Ever since Treyarch left to help IW make MW3, Black OPS has had its fair share. Even in the Battle Field’s there are a select few who want to ruin the game experience of others. That just shows how far people will go to get farther in their games while others suffer (or rage depending on what your personality is. I usually rage because I play with an organized groups of fives and sixes. One guy went 45 in 3 and got two M.O.A.B’s.) eventually people will find a way to hack life and then we will find a way to legalize murder. Some hackers try to be funny, though. There is a mod to change all the faces of the losing teams to FUUUUUUUUUUUUU faces and the winning team has troll faces. So basically, if you want to hack, hack for laughter not f****** annoyance.
I was playing Modern Warfare 3 yesterday in different servers at my PC, when I entered a TDM server; there was a hacker in the server, then I went to a Ground War server and there was 2 hackers, the other using some kind of a headshot hack and the other one on the other team some sort of killstreak hack. After all those server switching in PC, I then decided to go to a domination server and guess if a hacker was there too? Yes there was one there aswell…. so I left the game because of the hackers, because it definately wasnt worth playing at all.
One would THINK that with ALL THE FREAKING MONEY that you greedy-ass companies are making off of us stupid robots who keep coming back for more of the same punishment, you would DO MORE TO TAKE CARE of the problems that KEEP HAPPENING!!!

I think we should band together and start a Class Action Lawsuit against the game developers to get our money back, since they have failed to do anything about it.
I swear they must be the ones running the hack sites – they brag about selling over a million hacks at $20 a month. What better way to make more money for the company than open a sham company that sells the hacks to your own game ?
I’ve also noticed how badly teams are ” balanced” at the beginning of each game – makes me wonder if that’s done on purpose too to make people want to buy hacks !
I will never ever buy another COD game ever!!! I enjoy MW3 but only when there are no hackers. Hackers exist in 90% of the games I’ve played in. I will be sticking to the Battlefield series of games from now on.
