If you read my previous article you would know that I discussed the most underrated perks from Modern Warfare 3.  If you haven’t read it, you should go do so!  After writing it, I figured the next article should be a follow up about the most underrated guns.  Although I won’t be picking a gun from each “class” (sniper, shotgun, etc.), I will still talk about two guns in particular.

The first gun that I feel isn’t used as much as it should be is the AK47. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that nobody uses it but it definitely isn’t as popular as the ACR, SCAR or MP7.  On the first couple of prestiges I kind of overlooked the AK47 since there are great guns that you unlock much earlier.  It crossed my mind to use it but then I thought, how good could this gun actually be compared to the ones mentioned above.  It turns out that it actually can hold its’ own once you get used to the extra kick that it has.  One of my friends and I decided to start using the AK out of the blue because we were getting tired of the same old guns. Since then, we haven’t been able to set it down.  This gun has incredible damage, good range and decent accuracy once adjusted to the kick. It takes a bit to make that adjustment but the best way to do so is to not even use the kick proficiency at all.  This will allow you to get used to the gun much faster so you won’t have to depend on kick.  Instead, you should get two attachments and throw on a silencer with extended mags.  All of this is nearly unstoppable and quite deadly when in the right hands.

The second gun that I wanted to mention is another assault rifle and that is the FAD.  What I like about this gun is the incredible fire rate. I feel like it is kind of passed by because it doesn’t deal the most damage per bullet.  The damage bar is very misleading considering how fast it shoots and how accurate it can be.  Of course you have to get used to the kick and iron sights for this gun as well. Speaking of iron sights, the FAD actually has one of my favorites out of all of the guns.  It’s extremely easy to lock on to the enemy while aiming down the sights.  On top of that, the mobility of it is much better than all of the other assault rifles, allowing a quick escape from danger.  It’s great that it is not only an assault rifle, but also very similar to a submachine gun since it does have that mobility and the ability to shoot fast.  The combination of all of these things makes the FAD one of my most successful guns.

In the end, I hope you take my advice and actually give these two guns a chance.  I know that there are also many other guns out there that could be considered underrated. Now it’s your turn, which ones do you feel should be used more often?
