So the time is finally here, Terminal is back on the Xbox 360 and I couldn’t be more excited!  This is one of my all-time favorite maps and I couldn’t wait to see how it played on Modern Warfare 3.  With that in mind, I decided that it would be a cool idea to compare Terminal from Modern Warfare 2 versus Terminal from Modern Warfare 3.  Since there are completely new weapons and perks, Terminal is very different to play on in Modern Warfare 3.

It has been quite a while since I played Modern Warfare 2 so I thought it would be a good idea to go back to it and see how it felt to play Terminal again.  The first game I played on Terminal was amazing; it was like I never stopped playing the game.  I was running through the plane mowing people down with my ACR and enjoying every second of it.  It also reminded me of good of a map Terminal is for domination.  The b-flag is in a completely fair position and overall, the map is very even for both sides.  However, I had horrible experiences every other game after my first one.  Every single person was using the perks one man army and danger close, and of course they also had noob tubes.  This is the most frustrating thing because it is so overpowered and really prevented me from forming a successful strategy to win.  It was so hard for me to enjoy this legit map when a noob tube would blow me up every couple of steps I took.  I can’t take these experiences too much to heart thought because there aren’t a wide variety of people playing it since it’s a couple of Call of Duties old.  If I just base it off of when Modern Warfare 2 was the “new” game out, then Terminal was one of the most fast paced and well balanced maps to play on.  Terminal from Modern Warfare 2 is still one of the best maps to date.

Immediately after I played Modern Warfare 2, I went on to play Modern Warfare 3, thinking that playing oneafter the other would be the best way to compare the two.  I had really high expectations for Terminal coming back simply because I have had great experiences in the past.  After playing about ten games or so, I can say with confidence that bringing Terminal back was such a smart decision.  I had nothing but great games every single time.  If you’re trying to figure out what playlist to select, I would recommend playing Search and Destroy or Domination.  Both of those game types are such a blast on Terminal.  Reducing the power of noob tubes also makes Terminal such an enjoyable map to murder people on simply because you don’t have to worry about blowing up every step you take.  The guns and perks fit kind of well for the map but it’s pretty clear that Terminal wasn’t specifically made for Modern Warfare 3.  It has always been super clear that Terminal was specifically tailored for Modern Warfare 2 because of how well the game flowed with all of the guns and perks in the game.  I have tried all of different guns on Modern Warfare 3 and none of them seemed to just fit perfectly for Terminal.  Don’t get me wrong though, Terminal is now one of the best maps on Modern Warfare 3.  Also, on a side note, the remake they did visually for Terminal is very cool.  They completely modernized everything without taking away the essence of the map; it is kind of just like adding icing on the cake.

In the end, it doesn’t matter if you play Modern Warfare 2 or Modern Warfare 3; Terminal is an amazing map on both of them.  Oh and do you know what the best part is?  You don’t even have to buy it on Modern Warfare 3 since they released it for free!  What I’m saying is that you should go download Terminal, you won’t regret it.
