Today is the birthday of America, and Activision wants to celebrate by saving you guys money.  As of right now, ending on July 9th, all MW3 and Black Ops DLC is 50% off on Xbox Live, PSN, and Steam.

While it’s a good deal for people that haven’t yet bought the content, it’s a bit of a slap in the face to Call of Duty Elite members who were supposed to be getting the content for cheaper by paying for it upfront.  Now, as it turns out, they actually spent more money than they would have if they had just waited for this deal and bought each of the MW3 Content Collection packs at 50% off.  On the flipside, Elite members did get the content a lot earlier, which many will think was worth the extra cost.  The question now is, does this sale make you less likely to pay for an Elite subscription in future Call of Duty games like Black Ops 2, knowing that the content could eventually go on sale for cheaper?  Vote in the poll below.
