A new patch has just dropped for Modern Warfare 3. The main purpose behind the patch is to fix the modded lobbies that hackers have brought into the game, which would give them insane advantages and even let them reset the stats of other players in the room. The patch gets rid of these lobbies entirely, as well as the ability for players to reset other player’s stats, so you can safely venture back into private rooms in MW3 again.
It’s important to note that, despite the numbering similarities, this is different than the patch 1.11 that dropped two days ago on the PS3. The PS3 version of the patch was put out to fix stability issues with the recently released Overwatch map. The 360 version didn’t have these issues (and has had Overwatch for a while now). Instead, this patch focuses solely on the recent hackfest that had taken over the game.
With this patch, which will be a mandatory download to continue playing online, the hacking issues should be completely removed from the game. So has the patch worked for you? Anyone run across any modded lobbies since they downloaded the patch?
