There is no patent to a certain plot device and 1C Company have taken this to heart. They have announced a new game called Nuclear Union that discusses life after nuclear apocalypse. THQ must be watching with close inspection, as their Metro franchise roughly uses that same premise. Still, given 1C Company’s history with Eastern Europe, it makes sense.
Nuclear Union is a PC game set for release in 2013. It situates itself 50 years after the Cuban missile crisis. Except here, the cold war stalemate between the USA and the USSR escalated during the 1962 political battle. In reality, John F. Kennedy averted this cataclysm narrowly, but in Nuclear Union the issue eventually lead to the US turning Moscow into a nuclear wasteland, after which nuclear warfare erupted. The USSR would eventually come out victorious and continue their life as they had collectively moved underground before the assault.
Now, in 2012, man is armed to the teeth and ready to venture into whatever monstrosities the nuclear fallout has created. An announcement trailer accompanies this news.
