Gabriel Knight creator Jane Jensen successfully funded her new development studio idea Pinkerton Road through Kickstarter with 11 days to spare. The $300K mark will serve to make the games that were promised, but everything that gets added will go towards making the first fan-voted game Moebius better.

Additionally, Pinkerton Road will use a traditional publisher model to create another game and will let it be available through their Community Supported Gaming program. Backers that pledge more than 50 dollars will receive both Moebius and Mystery Game X, while lower donations will be given their choice.

The Kickstarter page now also has some additional Gabriel Knight goodies, such as 2 ebook versions of Jensen’s Gabriel Knight novels, which have run out of print. For some higher donations, people can also snag a “design bible” that lists the classic adventure game’s development process.

Lastly, there are some events planned surrounding the project, besides the regular video updates that already periodically appear on the Kickstarter page. First off, a fan will assist Pinkerton Road in a 24-hour playthrough of the Gabriel Knight series on Twitch.tv. Pledges during this period will be split between the Kickstarter project and Jensen’s favored ASPCA charity. This event will take place on May 11, 2012 at 19.00 GMT.

The day after the end of the live stream, May 13 at 19.00 GMT, Jane Jensen and her husband Robert Holmes will take to Reddit for an Ask Me Anything session.

Pledging to Pinkerton Road still promises backers 2 more games; one in the vein of Gabriel Knight and a children’s book game to release this summer.
