Polandball Can Into Games Bundle Supports Local Industry
It’s been a while since we went to basics, but the latest bundle from GamesRage.org gives us a reason to plug some really “indie” indie games. This deal called “Polandball Can Into Games,” for reasons we haven’t deciphered, offers a set of 5 locally produced games, with one set behind an average barrier. All of them are DRM-free. We’ll list these titles below:
- King Arthur’s Gold
- Nightmares From The Deep
- The Few
Beat the average for:
If you enjoy Terraria, then King Arthur’s Gold is basically the revved up version of it, with more people and tons more warfare. Players pick a class and can participate in 2D pixel worlds with 32 players. It says it’s more akin to Age of Empires and Team Fortress and who are we to judge that? This is also the only title to be available for Desura as well, at the moment. For classic point and click adventures in style of hidden object games, check out Nightmares From The Deep. It has some nifty handmade art. Our pick is the stylish strategy title The Few, with a clean, hexed map and neat air battles. Finally, OddPlanet will probably have references of silhouette darling Limbo thrown at it. It is actually quite similar, but with voice acting.
However, we do suggest beating the average, certainly at the current low price of $2.3, to unlock Cinders. We featured this ambitious visual novel when it came out and its normal price was a bit steep, so this is the perfect opportunity to pick it up, if you don’t have the money to spare.
Even this deal’s charity supports their local stomping grounds, with the Modern Poland Foundation, which fights for user rights in this electronic culture.
