We recently told you about the five new Prestige levels that were released on the PC and would be coming to the Xbox 360 and PS3 soon. Now we know exactly when those dates will be.
Prestige Levels 16-20 will release on the Xbox 360 on May 15th, and on the PS3 in mid-June.
Infinity Ward isn’t intentionally holding the new levels back from the PS3. Rather, they’re including the new levels in the next patch for each console. The 360 has a new release planned for May 15th already, whereas the PS3 doesn’t have another planned until June. They could release the new prestige levels as a separate patch, but new patches reportedly cost $40,000 per patch for certification on the Xbox 360 and PS3, so the decision was made to include the new prestige levels into already planned patches instead.
COOL!
“but new patches reportedly cost $40,000 per patch for certification on the Xbox 360 and PS3″ …so ridiculous lol; Infinity Ward is rolling in dough they could easily do $40,000
You cant fault an american developer for siding with an american company. I personally love the ps3 amd believe it is 10 times the console that xbox wanted to be but given todays economic climate its understandable that distributors would take a nationalist stance to TRY to further their countries economic future. Albeit slight it is still an advantage. Even though it means i get releases and updates later, i 100% agree with IW, Activision, and call of duty’s stance.
Well said, wish more companies would take the same stance.
still total BS i am sick and tired of being 15th level 80 i wish they would give us ps3 players 20th right now too total bs that we have to wait for NO good reason
only 40.000euros? and your money that you maked on mw3? 1billion so dont talk to much…
