MW3 PS3 Updates

Following the typical one month behind pattern, the Call of Duty Elite drops that Xbox 360 users got in May are now live on the PS3.  Here’s what the latest drop includes…

  • Oasis multiplayer map
  • Kill Switch spec ops mission
  • Iron Clad spec ops mission
  • Getaway Face-off map
  • Lookout Face-off map

As always, the content is free for Call of Duty Elite members while non-elite members will have to wait.

It doesn’t look like the non-elite members will have to wait long this time, however, as Content Collection 2 (which includes all of those maps/missions plus Sanctuary and Foundation) is now up for pre-order on PSN for $14.99.  The pre-order availability makes it likely that Content Collection 2 will be released on June 21st.  Additionally, users that pre-order the DLC now before June 20th will get a free theme.

Finally, patch 1.15 is now live on the PS3 as well.  It includes various new additions and weapon balances, including…

  • System link Competition Mode
  • New prestige levels 16-20
  • Smaller explosive area for DMH
  • Dragunov and Blast Shield reblance (Blast Shield gets buff in hardcore game modes)
  • Fix for rapid fire glitch, Defense kills not counting, and Kill Confirmed player scoring

    I just wished they fix the spawns for once. I have had the opportunity to play the new 1vs1 2vs2 and 3vs3 maps and one thing is sure, get killed and spawn 1 meter away from where you died is not goood, not goood at all. Specially in this kind of maps and game modes

    Is it true that only people in America can get this Pre-order? Because it is in my store on my American account, but not in my European one. And also, doesn’t this Collection 2 give the Sanctuary MP map and the Foundation MP map aswell?
