Find Us on Facebook
Capcom has released more information surrounding an online service for Resident Evil 6. The free Resident Evil.net element will let players connect and interact with each other in numerous ways.
For starters, the online tool will keep track of playing statistics that are also comparable with friend stats. Obnoxious braggers can even link their social media to share precious info on Facebook and Twitter. The whole will launch as a mobile device application as well.
Connecting to RE.net will yield points that can be used to recreate a little picturesque setting or to unlock special costumes that you can use in the Mercenaries mode. More so, it will be possible to compete in online events that will reward a lucky winner with a championship belt as well as the honor of being recorded.
The service launches along with the game’s release on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 2, 2012. Capcom announced that the game has gone gold, meaning development has finalized. That should give them a few months to concentrate efforts on bringing the PC release as soon as possible.
