You might remember we periodically try and report on some indie games, because, well, indie games can be pretty great and deserve some sunshine too. Since they’re usually in constant development, we thought we’d bring you an update on Windward and Platformines, which have both recently released an update.
Platformines introduces its second Beta. Besides plenty of bug fixes and tweaking, they’ve also added a few new things. For one, equality reigns true, as you can now choose girl characters. They’ve also toned down tips, which make them less of a drag. The beginning rifle was also downsized, so loot becomes more appealing. Lastly, they added additional enemies and traps and of course hats!
In turn, Windward has updated its Alpha version with full multiplayer support. The pirate-themed naval title now offers 3 ships to shoot your fellow sailor with. It also has a total of 5 maps with different objectives. Most pit 2 teams against each other. Cloverleaf however pits 7 players versus just 1 pumped up player.
The wind in Windward now has more effect on damage and speed. Lastly, killing diligently and in succession will increase the experience gained. The whole comes with an enhanced visual experience for even more beautiful maritime fun.
Linux rollers might also be glad to know that as soon as Unity 4 ships, the developers will be adding its support for the game.
