Remember Rift? The MMO RPG from Trion Worlds was once welcomed by media and currently still boasts an 84 Metacritic ranking, which isn’t shabby at all for the oft overlooked multiplayer genre. For those that would like to return to the world of Telara or would like to see what the fuss is about, there’s good news. The Storm Legion expansion will roll out on PC this November 13 and will be preceded by an open Beta.
As a prime attention point, the additional content is said to triple the size of the current world. You’ll be able to travel to the Tempest Bay island, holding territories for Guardians as well as the Defiant. Furthermore, 7 dungeons, 3 raids and a chronicle will get added. With Dimensions, players and guilds can now also customize a small part of Telara for themselves. Professions can be enhanced with Grandmaster crafting, there are new pets, a world-shifting Colossus, capes and new gameplay elements. All this will also raise the cap to level 60.
Players wanting to get stuck in early can access a free Beta, which will open up all the new content, starting November 2 and ending on November 5, 2012. Returning players can transport their current characters to the expansion worlds, while newcomers can simply create a new character. You can find the Beta at www.stormlegion.com/beta.
