SCHAR: Blue Shield Alliance is now available on PC through digital platforms. The indie game by Brain Shape Games was previously released through Xbox Live’s indie channel, but has now been remade specifically for PC.

Players navigate through the twin stick shooter with one of 4 ships, each with their own strengths. On top of that, 12 upgrades can be unlocked along with 6 tiers for each enhancement individually. The game has a story mode, free play and survival and can handle up to 4 players working cooperatively to beat the evil forces of the galaxy. It’s even possible for couch play through PC. More specifically, the PC version also adds enhanced graphics and keyboard and mouse support.

Gamers are able to enjoy a scaling difficulty curve that adds to the challenge according to how many players there are. The screen fills up with hundreds of ships at a time. Lastly, the score of the game is produced by Sean Beeson, who is also in charge of the upcoming Epic Mickey 2 soundtrack.

SCHAR: Blue Shield Alliance is available right now on digital platform Desura in 2 editions. A standard game costs $3.99, while a special edition is priced at $4.99 and adds a soundtrack, manual, concept art and more to the bunch. Even if it costs less than five bucks to dig in, the game is currently discounted %25 for a limited time only.
