Apparently, Universal Studios is preparing quite the trip for fans of the Silent Hill franchise. We’ve received a release that the world which is the horror survival will be turned into a real life event.
This news is dedicated to the release of a new movie called Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, which couldn’t be linked to some other competing franchise at all, except maybe Resident Evil and Revelations on 3DS. Regardless, the film will launch October 26, in time for Halloween, featuring stars such as Malcolm McDowell, who has starred in A Clockwork Orange and has racked up over 200 credits by now. It will also include Carrie-Anne Moss, whom most will remember from her role as Trinity in The Matrix.
For this release, Universal Studios is planning Halloween Horror Night events on select dates, where the Silent Hill experience will be transformed in a real life environment. These will take place at Universal Orlando Resort as well as Universal Studios Hollywood. Residents will try and make their way through the living nightmare, while being accosted by a giant Pyramid Head, chased by nurses and so on. For this to succeed, the studio is committing to the part with over 100 specially trained “scareactors” (s-characters). John Murdy over at Universal Hollywood stated: ““Creating a realistic three-dimensional world based on the disturbing Silent Hill video games and films elevates Halloween Horror Night. Its imaginative and unsettling characters and environments make it the ideal fit for our event.”
We know where we want to be this Halloween season!
