So apparently you’ll be playing as a psychopath in Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2. Arguably, every first person shooter involves some sort of sicko that goes around killing people, but the following trailer doesn’t do much to portray its protagonist frame of mind.

Good thing the clip regurgitates the old “one shot, one kill” phrase, because that’s what snipers do. When asked what our shooting buddy is thinking when killing others, he blurts this evasive line before mentioning this paraphrase: “Sometimes, I just like to blow stuff up.” Comedian Doug Stanhope has a unique view on this. Here’s a NSFW link of the man’s thoughts (at own risk).

Aside from that, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 also really wants you to know that it uses the CryEngine3 in order to create its pretty pictures. The suspense of the first shot can be cut with a knife, but after that it quickly turns to more dramatic scenes filled with explosions. And no sniper shot is complete anymore without an extensive slow motion captured shot of the bullet whizzing through the air, before entering some man’s face. This worked for Sniper: Elite V2 in order to enhance gameplay, we can only assume it will also work here. Let’s face it: If you’re going to shoot someone from a mile away, you want to savor that shot as much as you can.
