Infinity Ward dropped a lot of content on the Xbox 360 today. MW3 got new DLC and a new title update, just as planned.
Not planned, was a glitch that came along with it. The glitch affects Spec Ops only, as it causes user’s Spec Ops rank to appear as if it is reset and prevents users from loading any of their Spec Ops DLC. According to the Modern Warfare 3 forum, the glitch only occurs when you have MW3 installed to your hard drive and you download the latest Elite DLC. Infinity Ward claims that the glitch has to do with a limit to the amount of DLC for one game.
It sounds scary, but if you happened to stumble across this post after freaking out that your Spec Ops rank was reset and all your DLC was erased, you can relax. There are multiple fixes for the glitch, and both are pretty painless.
Option 1) The first and easiest fix is to uninstall the game from your hard drive, and then re-install it. After doing so your Spec Ops rank should re-appear and your DLC will once again be accessible.
Option 2) If you don’t feel like uninstalling and re-installing the game, you can instead delete all of the DLC for MW3 and re-download it. As with option 1, this will clear up your rank and allow you to access your content again.

so why are you on a mw3 forum if you dont own the game thats like trying to convince someone that your not gay even though you have clearly been watching gay porn i mean why come to this thread it has nothing to do with you if you dont own the game you have no worries but guess what every other god damn game has problems like this every now and then so dont say this is the only game to have a problem equal or greater to this cause that would be pure bullshit
My stats were not reset, just dlc rendered useless. I don’t have the game installed, classic disc reading. What I had to do is tell it to download all available dlc again. After a couple minutes in the “Active Downloads” they all started reregistering the previously dl dlc. After all were done went to the dashboard then back to the game and all is well.

I did two fixes but It’s still not working ..
I did all the above and was still at level 1. I contacted elite 4 times on the day the dlc came out followed the spokesman in live chat he got me to delete everything associated with mw3 and re install I did still level one but can play on the new dlc if the game is NOT installed on hard drive but have played since and my unstoppable title is back and I have 8 days and 16 hours of play they said it might take 10 days+ to TRY and get our levels back well thank you elite. I give you money and you punish me FU elite I want my level 50 back I am in the top 500 on most maps and the unstoppable title ( ie reach wave 15 on every map) how would I have that if only the 1st 4 maps are unlocked?
Tried the above fixes and no dice. DLC still busted. Just keep being directed to the store. Not just Secial Ops, latest maps for face off not available for online multiplayer, never comes up in rotation..never.
Why no repair patch for download?
I will not buy another Modern Warfare game again and will recommend against to anyone willing to listen.

I tried but its still not working
This fix is garbage, and didn’t work. Still at level 1. If they dont fix this soon, I believe I wont be the only one to never purchase a CoD game again. WHats the point of wasting all that time for nothing? Exactly. I hope Black Ops 2 goes bankrupt.
