Developer Doctor Entertainment announced a new multiplayer title called Gear Up. The game will let gamers build their own tanks to compete against each other.
The game with clean, bright visuals allows for custom vehicles created from scratch with anything from wheels to much more extravagant setups. For instance, players can fit their tank with spider legs or giant balls to make them move. Aside from just multiplayer carnage, Gear Up will feature singleplayer races and cooperative missions, amongst other game modes. More so, a game editor will allow for the creation of custom challenges by the community. Popular challenges will remain, while unpopular events will dwindle, as they’re replaced in a dynamic system that refreshes content.
Gear Up is made with an in-house “Traktor” engine. It seems that custom built vehicle combat is on the rise, with other titles like Gimbal and Rawbots also seen on Steam Greenlight. And naturally, Gear Up is found on Greenlight as well, since every indie game will be on there now.
It seems developer Doctor Entertainment had to take a break from developing, as they were helping out Starbreeze to release the remake Syndicate last year. They are currently accepting pre-Alpha applications for Ger Up here.
