Titanfall Calls for Xbox One Patch for Controller
Microsoft is set to patch the Xbox One’s controller input to make it less “twitchy” after the development team of Titanfall at Respawn Entertainment requested it. Justin Hendry, lead game design of Titanfall, spoke to the Verge to explain that they felt the controller needed to be tweaked for optimal performance in their game.
“It’s just fixing the controller input really. It wasn’t really where we felt it should be; it was a little overly twitchy with the current controls. Now it’s fixed. We’re happy with it.”
The update is set to increase thumbstick sensitivity by increasing sensitivity of their outer boundaries and is scheduled to hit as part of the Xbox One’s February update. With Titanfall set to release March 11, on PC and Xbox One, then 360 on the 25th, the update can’t come soon enough to ensure a good launch for such a titanic game.
