Here’s some interesting news. Metal Gear Solid HD Collection is being adapted to Playstation Vita, but unlike the main version, this one will not contain Peace Walker. This peaceful version of the Metal Gear series came out on Sony’s previous PSP handheld, but will not make its bundled return for the collection. This was also the case with Japanese units of MGS HD that traded Peace Walker for the original Metal Gear Solid. It is however available as a separate download on the Sony Entertainment Network.

Instead, the Vita will only receive Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. The latter also recently got remade for Nintendo 3DS. Sony’s handheld version will get adapted to use its unique qualities, such as the touchscreen. Additionally, the game will make use of Hideo Kojima’s ‘Transfarring’ system that allows for connectivity between a Vita and Playstation 3.

There is also no word on the MSX versions of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, which were present on the main edition. Look for handheld espionage this summer.
