For some it may seem like a distant dream, but Cortex Command was once part of a Humble Indie Bundle and noted to release in the near future. This future brings us all the way to the present, where after 11 years of development struggles, the game is finally proud to put a 1.0 behind it’s name.
Cortex Command gives you the control of a brain that commands other drones. These puppets go to war with each other in a wacky, physics-based 2D shooter filled with charm. We’ve been playing it so far and it’s still shaky on all sides for some reason, but at least a lot of features were added and it’s still the incredibly fun to play around with the game’s engine.
For those that did purchase the game through the Humble Indie Bundle program, there is good news. You’re eligible for a free Steam key. To find this key, you’ll need to dig out your unique URL. If you’re unsure or can’t locate that URL anymore, you can have your key resent by going here.
Once there, simply click the button above saying: “Click here for your Steam and Desura keys” and Cortex Command should be at the top.
